Think you want to own a Pit Bull breed?
Sharing your home with a member of the Pit Bull breeds is not for everyone. Sadly, there is much negative press regarding this breed of dog and many times owners face the same stigma as their dogs! In order to ensure a proper fit between dog and owner, the following requirements must be met in order to adopt one of our dogs:
1. Be at least 21 years old – we’ll make an exception but you better be rock solid.
2. Be Local to SE WI - or willing to drive here.
3. Fill Out an Application – impress us with your knowledge.
4. Show Solid References – veterinarians, dog walkers, dog daycare management – these are good references – not mommy or daddy.
5. Must Own or Have Landlord Approval - Yes, we'll check.
6. Be Interviewed – and make sure your household members are ready too.
7. Show that you have a clear understanding of the Breed Challenges – and how you will handle them.
8. Agree to a home visit before and after Adoption – with all household members present.
9. Pay a $250 Adoption Donation Fee
10. Sign a Legally Binding Adoption Contract
Note: We don’t do same sex adoptions very often with our Pit Bulls. It rarely works out well.
We are not doing any out of state adoptions at this time.

MEET SMILEY SELENA!Selena is one of the "Missouri 500" bust dogs. She's is approximately 3 1/2 years old. She's is DEFINITELY a "Lover Not a Fighter". Now that she has learned what love and snuggling and toys are - those are her favorite past times. She also enjoys long walks and playing in a fenced in yard!She gets along great with all people - old, medium, young. She also gets along well with other dogs - probably will do best in a home with just one other male dog. Selena is not very fond of cats.Selena lived a life of misery until 7/8/09. All she wants now is her very first forever home that provides tons of LOVE, KISSES, and STABILITY. She will give you more back than you can possibly imagine! MEET MARLIN the MOOCHER!
Marlin is one of the famous "Missouri 500" that was in TIME magazine! This super star is sweeter than Grandma's chocolate chip cookies. He's a bundle of energy who is looking for someone to show him the road to his Happily Ever After...
Marlin must have fought a lot before being rescued on 07/08/09. His scars are sad but he refuses to give into the saddness - he's just waiting patiently for his forever family to find him here!
Marlin loves kids and is working on having K9 playmates. He will need to be an only dog - and he deserves all that attention anyway - he's had enough 'alone time' in his life.
Marlin is probably about 4 years old. He's slow learning but his willingness to please is fast and furious! He tries and tries and never gives up - such a wonderful, TYPICAL Pit Bull!
